Frost damage

We suffered a little frost damage but that’s not unexpected. we are leaving the old leaves on to protect the new growth.

Winter Garden

This is a raised bed veggie garden I designed and installed this fall in San Rafael on a hill with a view of  Mt. Tam. We made the planters out of redwood with gopher wire on the bottom. The paths are decomposed granite, also with gopher wire underneath.

Here it is, today, still looking good. We got most of the plants from Green Jeans Nursery in Mill Valley and a few of the plants were originally from Annie’s. If you don’t know about Annie’s you should. The website is one of my favorites if you like to get googly eyed over flowers and veggies.
